We Have gone out of business:

I will miss all the new, exciting interesting people I have had the pleasure to met along this journey, but the time was right to start on a new journey.  It was a bitter sweet decision, but one that came with ease, the farm had been allowed to become what it had originally been, a haven for the wild life, wild flowers and grasses, I now look out over what used to be fields of mint and now see, Black Eyed Susan's, Evening Primrose, Little Blue Stem, cat tails, bull rush, and many other varieties of grasses and wild flowers, it is amazing when you stop fighting mother nature how quickly she allows the land to revert back to what it was meant to be.

We now farm turkeys, deer, resident geese, ducks, osprey, there are 19 ponds on the farm, 2 water control structures, all ponds supporting their own set of wildlife, the Necedah wild life refuge is not far from us so we also can boast of 4 -7 resident whooping cranes on the farm, they are so, so beautiful to watch, beautiful white with the black tips and ever so graceful.  We have a large bluff on the back side of the farm that we now can take the time to climb and enjoy.

My first grand child is due this Valentines Day, now there will be time to be spent with the family, spoiling the kids and the grand babies.  One never realizes how much time is lost till it is not there any more.

It is difficult as the farm has been a part of our lives for 35 years, but, new journey's like this one do not come along every day, this was one journey we so wished to explore.

As time allows me I will post pictures on here of how the farm is looking and I am sure you will agree and understand why we made the choice we did, it is beautiful!  The kids (my pups) have their own ponds that they can swim in, we have millions of frogs that talk to me every night, there are a pair of Blue Hearings that have also made the farm their home and of course we have the beavers that are working so diligently at damning up the ditches, now we don't care if they flood the fields, we encourage them to do so.

It is going to be a very different way of life.  I am looking forward to now having the time to do things for others, attend the gatherings, visiting, my one pup is a therapy pup, now there will be more time for her to visit the elderly, the seasons change and so do we, now so am I.

Take care everybody, I do hope to see everybody at gatherings down the road.  ENJOY! Be Safe, Be Well and BE HAPPY!  Life is short, enjoy.  Your patronage was greatly appreciated over the years.   Deb

Mint is the symbolic Meaning for "WISDOM"
